A case counts in every category it had, so these add up to more than the total. Anything we have finished fewer than 5 of is left out — too few cases to be either a fair average or a properly anonymous one. Your own treatment may be shorter or longer than any of these; that is a conversation for the first visit.
How treatment runs
The first visit is an assessment: photographs, a look at how your bite meets, and an honest conversation about whether treatment is worth it for you. Not everyone needs braces.
If you go ahead, we photograph your teeth at each stage. Those images become a record you can look at — so progress is something you see rather than something you are told about.
Half of the cases we have finished took between 11 and 21 months, with an appointment every four to six weeks. That is measured from our own records rather than quoted from a textbook, and it is recounted every time this page loads. We will tell you which end of the range you are likely to be at before you commit.
